Dress Up Cards

Gather

scissors
ruler
pencil
card stock
scrap paper
glue stick
4-inch doilies
buttons
glue dots or craft glue

Go

1. Cut card stock into 8-1/2 by 11 inch pieces.
2. Fold the pieces in half to make a card.
3. Cut scrap paper into a 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inch piece.
4. Glue the paper to the front of the card.
5. For Grandma, cut a doily in half, then cut out the solid center.
6. Cut one of the doily halves into two pieces.
7. Glue each piece of the lacy doily “collar” to the top front of the card.
8. Glue buttons below the collar.
9. For Grandpa, cut an 8 inch pointy tie and a 2 inch triangle from scrap paper. Cut off the bottom of the triangle.
10. Cut two 1-1/2 inch triangles out of different scrap paper.
11. Glue on tie as shown. Glue triangles to the top of the card for the shirt collar. Add collar buttons.
12. Give cards to your grandparents with a special note inside.
